Hihi almost been a month. :X   Had the stomach flu which I hadn't had over ten years! Nasty. And then fatigue set in ouch. Some lessons have to be learned when your down and being kicked. Puts a different perspective on alot of things.   Soooo

"Despite of everything I shall rise again, I will take up my pencil which I have forsaken in my great discouragement and I will go on with my drawing." -Vincent Van Gogh

Been thinking of Van Gogh lately and this book which I haven't had a chance to add to my collection of books. Seems real beautiful. Love Van Gogh. Some parts of his brain worked and well some of the other parts fell apart. The vibrant color that demands to be seen but on the other hand touches your soul oh so gently.

Sketches and Painting before the blowout. About a month ago. Yikes!

The man with the Golden Helmet.

My mentor encouraged me to do Rembrant studies. I've done a few which I'm embarrassed to even show.  I've done the sketch just need to do some tweaks and then add color. At first I was nervous but now I think I'm ready to tackle this beast again.

Also worked on this one the Young Rembrant Aged 23 before the other. Messed up the copy I had need to fix it up.

Portrait Painting of Steve Wiard

E3 was this week and after a stellar last year it fell flat this year with so many rehashes it was pathetic. New IP was scare and some of the newer ones did not seem appealing just game studios coming out with similar things across the board.

When people ask me what E3 is I just its like Christmas in June for gamers. New releases teasers and thrills.

Nothing caught my eye sadly yet I suppose. Except U4 which I'm not sure if it will be good despite Creative Directer and Writer Amy Henning leaving Naughty Dog earlier this year. };

My theory is that it probaly relates to U2 somehow. Among thieves and This one happens to be called A Thief's end. How Quaint. I smell conspiracy.

I've been addicted to the game Watchdogs. It's AWWWWEEEsome despite what the reviews say. I really fantastic. Normally it takes me a week or two to beat a game pacing myself. But I have been playing for about  2 going on 3 weeks and I'm about halfway through the game which hasn't happened in a long time. And I'm doing most of the side missions. Which is rare I'm engaged for that long period of time.

Anyway the soundtrack is just as fantastic. Been collecting most of the soundtrack. I own the OST but the songs on the radio playlist is diverse. And i'm glad I've been introduced to some new tracks which I never would have crossed on my own.

The Watchdogs multiplayer is interesting. Invading other people's game. Stealing data and taking off. Or defending your territory.
If your on PSN feel free to hack me: Sanakris I bounce between being the top 2-5% tier of the world. Watch out! (pun intended) I Never make a challenge without a high chance of total domination. Challenge me and I'll put you in your place

Well...I was in the process of writing an informative post when...a  classic game from my childhood got ported onto steam with some up-resed graphics. Age of Mythology. I became aware of this remake which I've been waiting for a long for a couple of weeks ago. Instantly when I found out about it I made a Steam account and pre-ordered it.

May has too many good release dates.

Age of Mythology is a RTS. A real time strategy game. When a player has villages to accumulate resources to build an army and fulfill the objective or totally dominating the opponent. But with Mythology there are the different tribes and special monsters you summon such as a phoenix. In the expansion pack its a bit like Rampage where there are Titans.

It came out 3 days ago. And steam logs me into playing 17hrs already. SAD. Goodbye productivity I will miss you. And May is too good of a month of some release of some of my Game of The Year (GOTY)

Watch Dogs!

The reveal trailer was a bit boring but the gameplay trailer blew everyone away in E3 2012. Been anticipating this and finally it will be released o n May 27 after the delay November 16th prior release date.

I'm real exicited about this new IP. I've pre-ordered the limited edition. With the steel box game case, artbook, soundtrack, figure and the mask. The soundtrack sounds dope from what little I have heard. And I can't wait to see the concept art once the game is released.

Eh why bother? Is a question that comes up often when your tired and trudging through. Why bother when maybe this time its not a breakthrough and I will suffer from heartache again. Why bother? I'm tired. Why bother? I'm hungry. Why bother that distraction looks really awesome. Why bother? Why bother why?Whhhhyyyy Bother? Bother.

Bother because you never know that one time when you give it all you got can be your chance. A story I once heard about persistence. A person is hammering away at a rock trying to break it. 101 times they labored. And finally it breaks after 101 smacks.
It is revealed that in your heart you know it wasn't the 101th smack that broke the rock. But the persistent 100 times of trudging through and hanging in there is what got you there in the first place.

Feeling the Burn

Unconventionally when there is car problems one resorts back to walking. Accidentally I stated working out again. The other day I was so proud of myself that I walked/rode a bike for 4 miles. It burned. It hurt. And I wondered why? Why bother? Why put myself through this? I don't need to this. Anyone that has worked out knows that when one works out the burn they feel is the lactic acid being released.

Well I wasn't going to let car trouble hinder my artistic journey of the portrait group. So I strapped on my portfolio and perched my french easel on the bike handle bars. Midway on my journey I almost gave up took an extremely long break. It burned too much. Just sat on the side of the road in a ditch contemplating. It bothered me my mp3 player was in the car. I contemplated to go or not to go. I was close enough to go home but I knew how I would feel if I didn't go. I'll mope around and watch the clock and wonder what everyone else was doing and feel like crap.

I didn't give up. I felt better after this endevouer and be one of my when I was young stories....Something something 4 miles. Although I was laughed at and singled out when people saw me.
I bet some people were inspecting me to have a banjo on hand and a hungry dog at my heels. Oh well. Normal people usually laugh when I tell them what I'm up to. I gave up a long time ago of what people thought of what I do.

A bunch of Why Bothers this past week.
Paintings & Figure Drawings.

Once again slowing down the computers except its not as much as last time.

Sketches

This is what I'm doing with my life. A dramatized super effected version of life as a digital artist. Here is Eric Lin's winning entry of Feng Zhu Design Cinema. Congratulations! Makes my heart pound every time I see it.

I've been back to doing speed paintings while watching the Big Bang Theory sitcom. It revolves around theseone w 4 genius guys who hang out and be nerds at Leonard and Sheldon's apartment. When a hot chick moves into their apartment complex across the hall things change.

Most of the science jokes I don't get but when they they do a skit about gamers and gaming habits its hilarious.

While browsing beautiful images and concept art on the internet I happen to find this short film. Can't wait for part II This video The Spaceman and the Moon

Best video of Tomas Phusion's Keep Goin' The original PS1 Resident Evil 1 style

I've once heard before if you ain't cryin' you ain't tryin' Good luck peeps.
Haven't gotten this process down. Still Hit and Miss. More missing than hits. Oh well we learn. Been bummed my favorite eye candy site Cghub has been down. :'/ They haven't made a public announcement weather its been affected by Heartbleed, Hacked or down for good.

Apparently it got shut down due to "personal" reasons. Pffft. How unprofessional. Without any notice for like a week! How unprofessional. Its not cool. A disappointment.  Got a lot of hits on that site and some people even lost artwork on there. And was a part of daily dose of awesomely awesome art. I got several people addicted to that site its real easy to click on things and keep clicking. There isn't anything out there that has an easy interface.

To make up for its heres a ton of images to slow down your computer. Be Warned it will seriously slow it down.

My Paint steps or mis-steps....

The newest painting I done about 3 weeks ago? I think. Is this Hebrew guy whose name in English means Happiness. Ever since then I've been on a downward spiral and hopefully soon I'll pick myself up again.
